The Vango Tay 200 is a 2-man dome style tent with a Gothic Arch pole, providing ample shelter from the weather at the entrance. This type of Dome style tent creates great space and stability, in a small pack size. Crystal Clear windows allow light into the porch area. The Tay range is one of the best tents for festivals and weekend camping.
The Essentials
The Vango Tay 200 is made from durable and waterproof Protex 70D fabric, which has a hydrostatic head of 3000mm. This means that it can withstand heavy rainfall without letting water seep inside the tent. Additionally, the flysheet is treated with a fire retardant coating for added safety. The tent is designed to be easy and quick to set up, with color-coded poles and clips for simple assembly. It also comes with pre-attached guy lines and tensioners that help stabilize the tent in windy conditions. The Vango Tay 200 is designed to comfortably sleep two people. The vestibule area provides extra storage space for gear, so you can keep your backpacks and boots outside of the sleeping area.
The Design
The tent measures 265cm x 170cm x 105cm (L x W x H) when pitched, providing a comfortable interior space for two people to sleep in. It also has a vestibule area of 1.5 square meters, which can be used for gear storage or as a sheltered area to cook or relax in. The Vango Tay 200 is a lightweight tent, with a minimum weight of 2.6kg (5.7lbs), making it easy to carry and pack for backpacking and hiking trips. The tent has a dome-style design with two lightweight alloy poles that create a sturdy and stable structure. It also has a fully sewn-in groundsheet that protects against moisture and insects, and mesh panels that provide ventilation and help prevent condensation build-up inside the tent.
Ventilation and Storage
The tent has a breathable inner fabric that helps to prevent condensation build-up inside the tent. The mesh panels on the inner tent also improve ventilation, helping to keep the air inside the tent fresh and cool. The tent has multiple internal pockets that provide convenient storage space for small items such as phones, wallets, and headlamps. The vestibule area also provides extra storage space for larger items such as backpacks and boots. The tent has a compact pack size of 46cm x 15cm x 15cm, making it easy to pack and transport. This makes it a great choice for backpackers who need to keep their gear lightweight and compact.
Extra Features
The Vango Tay 200 also comes with a repair kit, which includes patches and adhesive for quick repairs in the field. It also has reflective webbing on the guy lines and zippers, making it easier to find the tent in low-light conditions. The tent has a maximum head height of 100cm, which is plenty of room for most people to sit up comfortably. The tent's tunnel shape also provides more usable floor space than some other tent designs.
Why Should You Buy This Tent?
Overall, the Vango Tay 200 is a reliable and lightweight tent that is perfect for backpacking and camping trips. Its compact size and easy setup make it an ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts who are always on the go, while its sturdy construction and waterproof materials provide protection from the elements.
